I spent an interesting day at #eWorld2019 yesterday. It rained a lot!!! Outside the hall the rain in London was a complete deluge, as forecast, but inside we were hearing all about the forecast for the burgeoning world of Digital Procurement – will it be just the same old sunshine and showers, or will the broad uplands be really be brightly sun-lit?
Well, there was no shortage of promises of broad sunlit uplands from the solution providers, as ever – but I noticed some interesting themes emerging from the sessions I attended, as most presenters focussed less on the features of their particular solution and more on the underlying ideas.
So, staying with the weather metaphor just for fun…
